The part-time Master’s degree in Strategic Communication has moved to a primarily-online format for working professionals based in or outside of the New York City area.

Monday, August 14th:  Navigating the Application Process
The SPS Admissions team will provide an overview of the application process for master’s degree programs. This session will give you insight into the application process—from document preparation and submission to deadlines and general best practices. The team will ensure you have all the information you need to submit a complete and accurate application that represents you academically, professionally, and personally.

Tuesday, August 15th:  Preparing to Craft Your Narrative (A Look at Essays) 
Application essays help you showcase your professional experiences, share your career goals, and highlight your potential contribution to a graduate school classroom. This session will give you tips on how to present your best self through your Statement of Academic Purpose and Supplemental Essay.

Wednesday, August 16th:  Managing Transcripts and Test Scores
While this aspect of the application may seem straightforward, it can sometimes be the most stressful and time consuming. Our Admissions team will discuss the difference between unofficial and official transcripts, requirements for international transcripts, and what is ultimately required if you are admitted to a program. They'll also share how to submit any needed test scores from the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, TOEFL and IELTS.

Thursday, August 17th:  Best Practices for Letters of Recommendation
Choose your recommenders wisely! This session will shed light on how letters of recommendation can impact your application. Learn the difference between a strong recommendation and one that may not bolster your application. We will give you guidance on how best to approach your recommenders and what you should consider sharing with them before they submit their recommendations.

Friday, August 18th:  Ask Us Anything About Applications! This is an informal Q&A session.
