Visiting Students

Through the Visiting Student program at Columbia University’s School of 
Professional Studies, students enrolled in a degree program at another institution may apply to take courses at Columbia.

Options include six and 12 weeks of study during the Columbia Summer, single-term study during the spring and fall, and full-academic-year study. You may earn academic credit that can be transferred back to your home institution.

Columbia resources including the libraries, writing center, academic advisors, fitness center, and more than 500 student clubs. Learn more.

Earn academic credit, reflected on your official Columbia transcript, which can be transferred back to your home institution.

Students in the following categories are eligible to apply:

A TOEFL IBT score of 100+ or 7.5+ on the IELTS is required.

Please note that it is not permissible to enroll while in B-1/B-2 status. In addition, if studying on a student visa, you must enroll in the full-time option (12 credits per term), if available, and study on campus.
