Keep Moving Forward with Columbia

Your Columbia education is unstoppable.

Under new health and safety guidelines, following the expertise of the country's best public health officials, who also act as faculty for the University, Columbia will reopen this fall.

Everyone will use the ReopenCU Symptom Tracker App. The app is a daily symptom self-check which unlocks campus premises. Classroom capacity will be limited to accommodate physical distancing, and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting that meets or exceeds CDC, New York State Department of Health and OSHA standards will take place.

If you choose to take all of your courses remotely this fall, you can maximize your learning with Columbia's robust online toolkit, designed for your most dynamic educational experience.

Whenever and wherever, Columbia will meet you both physically and intellectually. We are expanding course options to flexible formats, and providing faculty with equipment and training to create a Columbia-quality learning environment. Our Ivy League faculty and teaching assistants will conduct live discussion-based sessions outside of class for those studying in different time zones.

Now more than ever, support during your career journey is crucial. The SPS Career Design Lab empowers you to succeed and thrive in your career, with tools and resources, including individual career coaching, employer recruitment events, skills and training workshops, and an exclusive E-mentorship connecting current students with alumni.

SPS has the fastest growing alumni base of any Columbia University graduate school. Your SPS education makes you part of Columbia's robust alumni network, with support and opportunities all over the world.

The Columbia community leads relevant conversations through the Ideas Exchange, where the University's most accomplished faculty, along with celebrated media personalities and innovative thought leaders, connect through dynamic interviews. These timely discussions explore how a variety of fundamental structures, intellectual origins and cultural roots shape values systems, social practices, institutions and meaning in our lives and society today.

During today's unprecedented times, keep moving forward with Columbia.
