Biotechnology Certificate

The Biotechnology Certificate responds to the expanding influence of technological advances in the life sciences. Students will gain academic and laboratory experience needed to advance their careers and make an impact in this growing field.  

If graduate school is in your future plans, our curriculum offers the grounding that competitive schools require. If you’re a professional looking to pivot into a new field, this certificate is valuable for careers in biotechnology or intersecting fields such as business and law. The part-time curriculum accommodates busy schedules.

Bachelor’s or equivalent

Part-time

29 credits in all (8-9 courses). Can be completed in as little as two years.

International Students: This Certificate program does not qualify for an F-1 student visa. International students who seek a full-time program should review other programs available through Columbia SPS.
