Wealth Management's Bill Woodson Shares Risks and Threats to Family Offices Due to COVID-19

Bill Woodson, Executive Vice President and Head of Wealth Advisory and Family Office Services at Boston Private, and Lecturer in the Wealth Management program, shares insights into the risks and threats posed to family offices due to COVID-19 in a new report for Boston Private.

"If 2020 has taught us anything, it is the importance of planning and preparing for the unexpected," Woodson writes. "Family offices, like all of us, are adapting to our new, largely-remote environment — though it presents new risks they must address and contain. Family offices are no strangers to risks and threats. However, quite often they struggle to identify effective ways to deal with these matters. Part of the struggle stems from a lack of data and research that can help family members and staff make more effective decisions."
