Degree Program Qualifications

  • U.S. bachelor’s degree or international equivalent

Wealth Management Advancing Opportunity Fellowship

About

The Columbia University Wealth Management Advancing Opportunity Fellowship is designed to support and accelerate the careers of outstanding professionals committed to excellence in the wealth management industry, particularly those who have navigated significant challenges in their lives. Fellowships will be awarded to individuals who are passionate about driving positive change in the industry and contributing to the future of wealth management.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must first apply to the Wealth Management M.P.S. program for entry in Fall 2025. After submitting the program application, a link to the optional fellowship application will be emailed. 

Completed fellowship applications must be submitted to the M.P.S. in Wealth Management program by June 1, 2025, and only students admitted to the M.P.S. program will be considered. Fellowship recipients will be announced by early July. All interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

  • Admitted to the M.P.S. in Wealth Management program, beginning in the Fall 2025 semester.
  • Have two to ten years of experience in the wealth management industry.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to advancing excellence in wealth management through leadership, education, or professional initiatives.

Application Deadline

Completed fellowship applications must be submitted to the M.P.S. in Wealth Management program by June 1, 2025, and only students admitted to the M.P.S. program will be considered.

 

Center for Financial Planning Scholarships

The Center for Financial Planning administers scholarship programs to enable qualified individuals to start or complete the education requirement for attaining CFP® certification. Explore their scholarship programs at centerforfinancialplanning.org(link is external).

SPS Fellowships

The School of Professional Studies provides a limited amount of merit-based fellowship funding to new students each year. Merit-based fellowship funding is assessed on the basis of the application submitted for admission. No fellowship application is required and no supplementary materials may be submitted for consideration. All admitted applicants are considered for merit-based fellowship awards during the admissions cycle.
