Starting a Nonprofit: The Four Fundamental Steps

Session 1 | Starting a Mission-Based Organization

This session in the Starting a Nonprofit: The Four Fundamental Steps Series was designed to help participants navigate the creation of a mission-based organization.

Topics include how to define cause, conduct market analysis, create a mission and scope of work, and choose a structure and type of nonprofit.

Additionally, this session addresses the nonprofit organizational lifecycle and provides valuable and practical advice on initial planning, strategy, and compliance while covering the incorporation process -- including how to apply for, obtain, and maintain IRS tax exempt status.
