The 2020 Alignment of Elections, Census, Redistricting and Representation: A Model for Ongoing Policy Engagement

In 2020, our nation experienced the intersection of two major participatory civic moments: a national election and a decennial census. Only every 20 years do these two events occur contemporaneously, and both could profoundly impact the direction of nonprofit policy in the United States for years to come. In our second workshop of this Election 2020 special series, foremost nonprofit policy experts were joined by leading nonprofit policy practitioners to address the intersection of the census and elections, its implications, and why it should matter to nonprofit leaders.
