Withdrawal & Tuition Refund
Students are charged and responsible for tuition and fees unless they officially drop the course within the second week of classes. Tuition for courses dropped by the last day of the late registration/change-of-program period is refunded in full.
No refund is given to auditors after the second week of classes.
A $75.00 withdrawal fee is assessed whenever a student drops all of the courses for which he or she is registered, even if the student drops course(s) during the late registration/change-of-program period.
Fees such as the University facilities fee are not refundable after the end of the change-of-program period. The document fee and late registration fee are never refunded.
Note: As with all fees, the withdrawal fee is not included in the tuition exemption benefits of Columbia University.
