Tuition & Fees
In order to secure a place in the program, admitted students must pay a nonrefundable deposit of $2,000 to the university by the deadline stated in the acceptance letter. The deposit is credited toward the student's tuition upon matriculation. Under no circumstances can the acceptance deposit be waived. Students who fail to submit their deposit by the deadline forfeit their place in the entering class. Students who make deposits but do not enroll on the agreed date lose their deposits.

This listing is intended to summarize possible charges that could be incurred against a student's account. Certain charges depend upon specific circumstances, as noted. Fees that are not billed to the student account, such as course fees or placement test fees, may be required but are not listed here.
**University Services and Support Fee, Morningside Campus (formerly Facilities Fee) – All students registered on the Morningside Campus shall be charged a University Services and Support Fee, calculated based on the student’s registration. Full-time students are those registered for 12 or more points in the term. This fee is not assessed to American Language Program students or School of Professional Studies Summer Program for High School students. This fee combines the Recreational Facilities Fee and Lerner Fee (for both of these, applies to Spring Term only for Academic Year 20-21), Information Technology Fee (all students charged, including part-time), and the Cross-Cutting Multi-School Activities Fee. This fee is subject to Board of Trustee approval and may change. For Fall & Summer 2020, the fee has been reduced to reflect unique campus operations. This is a lower amount than planned to reflect the reduced availability of certain services and support, including athletics facilities and Lerner Hall.
***Health Service Fee — Required for the following students: 1. International Students (non-U.S. Citizen or Non-U.S. Permanent Residents) that are attending courses for 8 weeks or longer; 2. Students that are registered for 12 points or more. Optional for all other students. Due to the online-only course offering in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fee is mandatory for full-time students and those who elect to enroll in the Columbia Student Health Insurance Plan for the Summer 2020 term. *International Services Fee — This fee is mandatory for all international students. Due to the online-only course offering in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fee is waived for the Summer 2020 term for students outside of the US. The International Student Fee will be charged for students already in the US who are visiting Columba from another US institution for the Summer 2020 term.
