Benefits expert, Andrea Yenco, provides key insights to Jerry Cutler’s Nonprofit Human Capital Management Class

Andrea Yenco shared information with students on emerging trends in the benefits world, including collaborative efforts among nonprofits to leverage their collective ability to provide an array of attractive and affordable employee benefits.

Andrea has a 20-year career in Human Capital Management holding senior level positions at multiple nonprofit organizations, primarily in the areas of benefits and compensation. She also served as the University Director of Benefits for the entire CUNY system, and was recently appointed to Mercer Consulting's committee exploring strategic DEI initiatives in employee benefits design. Andrea is also an active member of Chief, a private membership organization that connects and supports women executives across all industries.

Andrea engaged with students on a wide range of topics including:

  • Financial wellness benefits
  • Multiemployer retirement plans (under the new SECURE Act)
  • Public service loan forgiveness
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • Mental health benefits

Cutler noted, “Andrea brings tremendous experience to the classroom, having held key leadership positions in a variety of nonprofit and governmental organizations, and as a strategic leader in transforming the employee benefits experience during times of unprecedented economic and retention challenges."
