Fall Update

At SPS this fall, all courses, other than pre-established online courses, will be offered face-to-face in our New York City classrooms. Some of these face-to-face courses will be offered in the HyFlex format to ensure that all of our students can make progress toward their degree requirements, if faced with delays due to student visas or vaccination effectiveness wait times.

  • On campus or online
  • Fall and Spring intake
  • Up to 6 consecutive terms to complete*

International students are responsible for ensuring they have read and understand the University’s student visa application eligibility and requirements. Please note that it is not permissible to enroll while in B-1/B-2 status. In addition, if studying on a student visa, you must enroll full-time (12 points/credits per term) and study on campus.

Study consists of seven required courses (21 points/credits), two selectives (6 points/credits) and three elective courses (9 points/credits). For the Capstone course, you will assess a case study of an organization’s ERM program and recommend/implement enhancements, demonstrating the application of all the major skills and techniques learned; the case study will be based on actual ERM programs in the marketplace. Based on your professional interests and goals, and in consultation with the program director, you will customize your study through selection of Risk Category Courses and electives.

Core ERM Courses

All seven courses are required.

Risk Category Courses

Choose two.

Electives

Students must complete at least one ERM elective.  Risk Category Courses, beyond the two required, may also serve as electives.  Students have the option to cross-register up to two electives during their course of study.

ERM Electives

The University reserves the right to withdraw or modify the courses of instruction or to change the instructors as may become necessary.
