Dr. Satyajit Bose on Sustainable Finance for a Shared Future

Satyajit Bose, PhD, Associate Director of the Sustainability Management program, co-authored an article in China Daily on the importance of investing in sustainable development—and how sustainable finance lacks support and recognition in China and beyond.

In the article, Dr. Bose highlights the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that were designed to prompt governments and the private sector to pursue economic growth while remaining respectful of environmental sustainability and ensuring benefits for people and the planet alike. The goals encourage shared responsibility between the private financial sector, various societies and public policy authorities.

Dr. Bose teaches sustainable investing in the Sustainability Management program. Through his research, Dr. Bose explores the role of finance in sustainability and ensuring a balance between growth and sustainable development.
