M.S. Nonprofit Management Lecturer H. Art Taylor Hosts Give.org's Heart of Giving Podcast

Herman “Art” Taylor, JD is president and chief executive officer of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance (give.org) and a part-time lecturer in Columbia’s M.S. Nonprofit Management program.

Taylor is also host to a lively podcast, the Heart of Giving, that showcases a range of stories and narratives of people active in the nonprofit sector. “Our guest list includes leaders of philanthropic institutions, active donors, and others who have a passion for giving, making a difference, and serving others. Listeners are invited to join the dialogue that focuses on the power to strengthen our understanding of generosity and the transformative impact giving has on the human spirit and society as whole,” explains Taylor. 

In a recent episode, “Cindy Lott’s Passion for Preparing Leaders for Mission-Based Work,” Taylor interviews Columbia University’s M.S. Nonprofit Management Academic Director Cindy M. Lott, Esq.,who is also a Senior Fellow at the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Urban Institute and was an inaugural Policy Fellow at Independent Sector. Taylor and Lott discuss the growing need and importance to educate future nonprofit leaders and promote ethics and equity in the sector. Their conversation also covers the challenges nonprofit and philanthropic organizations face, career trajectories, and the M.S. Nonprofit Management program
