Ashifi Gogo, Ph.D., a lecturer in the Executive Master of Science in Technology Management program, has been named a 2020 finalist for the Global Business Hall of Fame, presented by JA Worldwide.
A world-renowned entrepreneur, inventor, and global health pioneer, Dr. Gogo is the founder and CEO of Sproxil, a technology company that enables consumers and manufacturers to verify product and supply-chain authenticity. Sproxil’s award-winning technology has been used throughout the developing world and emerging markets to combat the distribution of counterfeit pharmaceuticals, protecting consumer health and the intellectual property of manufacturers. The company’s solutions are also widely used by global consumer brands to promote engagement and customer loyalty.
JA Worldwide, one of the largest global NGOs focused on youth development and empowerment, has inducted more than 200 Global Business Hall of Fame laureates since 1975, from cosmetics magnate Estee Lauder and Motown Founder Berry Gordy Jr. to AOL Founder Steve Case. Dr. Gogo is one of eight finalists for induction, to be announced in summer 2020. The nomination and induction process is overseen by PwC to ensure fairness and transparency.
Dr. Gogo holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Dartmouth College and earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics from Whitman College. He has served on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Social Innovation and on the Meta-Council on the Illicit Economy. As a faculty member in the EMSTM program, he teaches an executive seminar and a course in New Business Ventures Technology Management.
