Insuring Affordable Housing: Innovation Meets Policy
Public In-Person Event
Please join the M.P.S. in Insurance Management program on October 21st for a timely discussion on the intersection of insurance and affordable housing—a critical issue for New York and communities nationwide, hosted by the Insurance Federation of New York, Inc. (IFNY).
The program will feature Senator James Skoufis, public advocate for affordable housing, alongside John Crotty, founder of the Milford Street Affordable Housing Captive, and a team of Insurance Management graduate students (Rachel Day, Alexis Zamor, and Breanna Smith) who have authored a white paper on the topic.
Panelists will explore innovative solutions, assess current challenges, and highlight how collaboration between public policy and private initiatives can strengthen housing resilience and expand access.
Watch the students' course presentation for more information about the topic.
