Tracy Schwartz

Senior Program Director, Wealth Management

Tracy Schwartz has over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, serving in both strategic and operational leadership roles. Most recently, Ms. Schwartz was a Founding Partner and the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of White Elm Capital, LLC, a global equity long/short investment firm she helped launch in 2007. In her role at White Elm, Ms. Schwartz was responsible for the day-to-day management of the business including marketing and investor relations, compliance, human capital management, technology and the oversight of external relationships. She worked closely with clients of the firm including family offices, high-net worth individuals, endowments, foundations, non-profit organizations, pensions and other institutional investors. 

Previously, Ms. Schwartz spent nearly 10 years at Merrill Lynch & Co. where she worked as an investment banker in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group, most recently as a Managing Director. While at Merrill Lynch, Ms. Schwartz advised companies and private equity firms on a variety of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, sales and financings. In this capacity, she worked closely with senior management teams and Boards of Directors. In conjunction with her role as an investment banker, Ms. Schwartz led investment banking recruiting teams at both the Analyst and Associate levels. She also has experience on the trading floor having worked as a Summer Associate in the Sales and Trading Department at Merrill Lynch.  Ms. Schwartz began her career at Salomon Brothers Inc as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Health Care Group.   

Ms. Schwartz earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. with Distinction in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University. While attending Cornell University, Ms. Schwartz served as the Chief Teaching Assistant for Business Statistics and as a Teaching Assistant for Financial Accounting.   

Ms. Schwartz has presented at several financial services industry conferences including GAIM Ops Cayman, GAIM Ops West, TRS/ERS Emerging Managers and the Women’s Alternative Investment Summit covering topics such as capital raising and investor relations, best practices in operational due diligence, industry trends, behavioral finance, and building and retaining effective teams. She also serves as Secretary and Board Member of Alumni and Friends of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts in New York City.
