Tyler Sullivan, M.S.
Lecturer, Narrative Medicine
Tyler Sullivan, MS, is a Lecturer in Columbia University's Narrative Medicine program. She has also lectured/facilitated a Narrative Medicine component in Columbia University’s Interprofessional Seminar in Obesity Education, and has been actively facilitating close reading and reflective writing workshops for Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine since her graduation from the Narrative Medicine Master’s program in 2018. In addition to her Narrative Medicine work, Tyler is also on the staff of facilitators for Reflection Point, working to build team cohesion through stories; is an artist, and is the full-time mother of three young children. Tyler is continuously challenged and fulfilled in her role as a Narrative Medicine facilitator, finding great joy in connecting people through various forms of art. She is excited to help others in their facilitation journeys, regardless of prior experience and expertise.
Tyler holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art (Painting) from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University. She hopes to pursue further education and look deeper into family and sibling relations and perspective, specifically within the medical sphere.
