Nitin Nayak

Dr. Nitin Nayak is a principal data scientist in the Finance & Operations group at IBM since September 2019 when he rejoined IBM to work on the data-driven digital transformation of various IBM Finance business processes. His previous experience at IBM was at the Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY, as a Senior Technical Staff Member for business services research until 2013 when he left IBM to launch his own startup, myPEPR.com - an intelligent social networking platform based on behavioral analytics. He has also worked at various insurance companies including AIG and Swiss Re where he applied machine learning techniques to develop data analytics based products and decision support solutions. 

Dr. Nayak is a recipient of multiple patents and has received various technical achievement awards during his career.  Dr. Nayak has a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University with specialization in Robotics, a Master’s in Business Administration from New York University's Stern School of Business, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
