Sara Kohrt, M.Sc.

Lecturer, Narrative Medicine

Sara Kohrt, M.Sc., is a lecturer with Columbia University's Narrative Medicine program. Kohrt graduated with the 2017 class with a master's in narrative medicine and is currently working a qualitative researcher, where she analyzes medical communications for information gaps and enhancing patient stories. 

She has a deep interest in bringing visual and artistic tools to research methodology through PhotoVoice and other qualitative approaches. She serves as Visual Editor for Pulse: Voices from the Heart of Medicine (I'd love to publish your work; let me know if you have visuals you're proud of -- photography, paintings or otherwise!) She lives with her 15-year-old gender fluid child in Brooklyn, New York.
