Trisha Bauman is Principal and Founder of TJBauman LLC, a NYC sustainability strategy and communications firm specializing in the market opportunities for advancing positive social impact and regenerative development. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies scaling sustainability initiatives, to NGOs, to early-stage ventures developing market solutions for social innovation, decarbonization, and the circular economy.
Bauman serves on the Governing Board of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), where she led for several years as board president and vice president, and on the Board of Directors at the United Nations Association of New York. She is invited frequently by organizations, universities, and international conferences to speak on sustainability and ESG strategic communications. Bauman has lived and worked across North America, Australasia, Europe, and South America. She is bilingual French / English.
In addition to teaching on the faculty at Columbia University's Master of Science in Strategic Communication, Bauman is an adjunct professor at Minneapolis College of Art and Design’s M.A. in Sustainable Design Program and a frequent guest lecturer at universities in the U.S. and abroad. She has degrees from Bowdoin College, a B.A., magna cum laude, in economics and in modern European history, and from Columbia University, an M.S. in strategic communication with a concentration in sustainable development.
