Sim Segal, Academic Director of the M.S. in Enterprise Risk Management program, was honored to moderate the opening plenary session at the 2019 AFERM Summit in Washington D.C.
Entitled "Building Buy-In for the ERM Program,” the session featured a discussion with Philip Sherrill, Vice President, Internal Control and Reporting and Chief Audit Executive, at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, who shared insights on how a value-based ERM approach advanced the ERM program at ABCBS.
Segal also presented on the topic “Understanding the Cost and Complexity of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy” along with ERM program lecturer Shahryar Shaghaghi, Principal, Cybersecurity and Privacy National Leader at CohnReznick, and Bernardo Vasquez, CISO of The Hudson Group.
