Shaun Hoyte
Head of Clean Energy Networks, Con Edison; Advisory Board Member MS Sustainability Management
Shaun Hoyte is a scholar-practitioner with nearly two decades of experience bridging industry and academia to advance sustainability. At Con Edison, he has administered over $250 million in energy efficiency and clean heat program incentives and leads the development of innovative strategies to reduce carbon emissions and advance an equitable clean energy economy.
Shaun holds degrees from Manhattan College and Columbia University, where he serves as an adjunct professor and student advisor in the Sustainability Management program. He teaches the Integrative Capstone Workshop and designed the course “Sustainability in Sports: Theory and Practice.” He is also the visionary and director of the Sustainability, Energy, and Entertainment Network (SEEN) at Columbia’s Climate School, fostering cross-industry collaboration to drive positive environmental action through sports, music, and media.
Shaun remains an active member of the Columbia community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Columbia Alumni Association, the Sustainability Management Advisory Board, and as Vice Chair Emeritus of the Alumni Advisory Board for the School of Professional Studies. Shaun has been recognized as a 2025 City & State Trailblazer in Clean Energy, a four-time honoree on Carib News’ Caribbean-American Power 100, and Con Edison’s 2022 Harlem YMCA Achievers in Industry Award recipient.
