Lecturer; Privacy Engineer, Google

Pedro Ávila has extensive experience understanding how analytics data and tools are applied to business problems in various industries. As an alumnus of Columbia's QMSS graduate program, Ávila is an advocate of using high-quality data for appropriate analyses to further relevant ethical research or solving interesting business problems, and presenting findings through compelling storytelling and visualizations.

In bad weather, Ávila enjoys hiking, reading, writing, and hot tea. In good weather, he likes hiking, sailing, and surfing.
