Amber McQueen

Admissions Counselor

Originally from Detroit, Amber C. McQueen has built a dynamic career spanning higher education, information systems, and enrollment services. With over a decade of experience across institutions including Georgia State University, Spelman College, and Morehouse College, she has worked at the intersection of academic operations, technology, and student success supporting learners from admission through graduation.

Amber earned an Associate degree in Business Administration, as well as bachelor’s degrees in business administration and Sociology, and pursuing her Master’s in Higher Education Administration. Her professional background includes graduate admissions, graduation department, academic advising, academic affairs, the President’s Office, technology, registrar services, and information systems management, where she developed a passion for helping students navigate complex institutional systems with clarity and confidence.

As a member of the team at Columbia University School of Professional Studies, Amber is committed to creating accessible pathways for diverse learners and empowering students to take ownership of their academic and professional journeys.

In her free time, Amber enjoys writing, exploring New York City, and developing creative projects centered on storytelling, innovation, and personal growth.
