Joe Metzger

Mr. Metzger is a member of GCM Insurance Solutions, focused on the firm’s efforts to provide alternative investment solutions and strategic capital to the insurance industry globally. Prior to GCM Grosvenor, Mr. Metzger served as a Managing Director at a Miami-based family office investment platform, where he led Corporate Development activities for a number of insurance and specialty finance portfolio companies. Previously, he spent nearly a decade in M&A and Corporate Development at two Fortune 500 life insurance companies, Guardian Life and TIAA-CREF, where he executed transactions in the insurance, asset management, depository and financial technology sectors. Earlier in his career, he spent four years as an investment banker covering financial institutions. Mr. Metzger has also acted as an independent advisor to multiple fund managers on their investments into insurance companies. He received his Bachelor of Arts from New York University.
