Brandy Dawson
Lecturer, Strategic Communication
Brandy Dawson brings more than 25 years of communications and marketing leadership experience to her role as Lecturer in Professional Studies. Currently, she leads People + Places communications for Audible, partnering with senior leaders to build employee connection and engagement globally.
Prior to Audible, Brandy held a variety of senior leadership roles at Pearson plc, including overseeing marketing for a $300M portfolio and directing CEO and global employee communications for more than 20,000 employees operating in 70 countries. She successfully led communications during major organizational transformations, launched award-winning campaigns, and implemented new digital platforms. After leaving Pearson, she founded The Goat Farm, a communications consultancy.
Brandy has been involved with the Strategic Communication program since 2015, first as a graduate student and later serving as a course associate for the Compelling Communicator and Reflective Leadership. As a first-generation college student, she has seen firsthand how access to higher education transforms lives, which fuels her passion for mentorship and education.
When she's not at work or school, you'll find her in a drafty old house in northern New Jersey, where she lives with her husband and two rambunctious rescue hounds named Ruby and Rosie.
