Support the Columbia Scholastic Press Association
The Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) was founded in 1925 for the purpose of bringing together student journalists and their faculty advisers from different schools around the country to exchange ideas, support each other, and to engage in shared learning. The association is owned and operated by Columbia University. CSPA serves student media by:
- Providing guidance on journalism standards
- Uniting students through programs and events
- Conducting an awards program to recognize and distinguish exemplary work
- Supporting and training the next generation of journalists for the important work of maintaining a free press
Since the official founding of CSPA, hundreds of thousands of newspapers, magazines, and yearbooks have received critiques, and close to 400,000 delegates have attended the annual conventions, conferences, and workshops.
