Career Catalyst Internship Program
Career Catalyst Internship Program
The School of Professional Studies is redefining the value of professional education and shaping the new world of work to meet the most pressing needs of students, markets, and society.
The Career Catalyst Internship Program (CCIP) provides economically disadvantaged and justice system-impacted young New Yorkers with meaningful work experience at the University. The goal is to help prepare CCIP interns for sustained and fulfilling employment. The program addresses the fact that disadvantaged youth– particularly those who are criminal legal system-impacted– face almost insurmountable difficulties in making the transition to healthy adult living, a situation that severely diminishes their long-term well-being and that of their own current and future families. This paid 14-week experience provides participants with work experience, professional development, mentorship, and other tools to create a pathway for their career success.
