Ron Papka

Lecturer, Applied Analytics; Managing Director, Bank of America

Ron Papka has spent over 30 years in the Financial Services industry creating applications of analytics across capital markets asset classes. Most recently, as Managing Director in Global Banking and Markets Technology at Bank of America, and as Head of Modeling, NLP and Analytics for Global Banking Technology, he designs and develops AI solutions for transforming the business and operations for the world's largest commercial bank portfolio. Prior leadership experience included roles at Citi, Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, and BlackRock, where he built data, analytics, risk and trading systems software for those companies and their clients.

His academic work is in the field of Machine Learning and Information Retrieval, and his primary interest is financial news modeling and natural language processing with a focus on prediction algorithms using very large data.
