Micaela Bombard, M.S., M.F.A.

Lecturer, Narrative Medicine

Micaela Bombard holds an MFA in poetry from Sarah Lawrence and an MS in narrative medicine from Columbia University. She is a poet, PhD candidate, and graduate teaching fellow in creative writing at University of Missouri, Columbia, where she currently teaches courses in poetry and composition. Her academic interests include disability studies, phenomenology, disability poetics, and 20th century American poetry. Micaela has previously taught in the Narrative Medicine Master’s Program at Columbia, in addition to facilitating narrative medicine workshops for medical students, as well as for a variety of other healthcare and related professions.
