Lodovica Bo, '25SPS (Narrative Medicine) & Beth Cavenaugh, RN, CHPN, '25SPS (Narrative Medicine)
Moderated by Rudy Malcom, '25SPS (Narrative Medicine)
Narrative medicine can happen anywhere, with anyone. Lodovica Bo and Beth Cavenaugh will share their process for collaborating with a wide range of institutional leaders to deliver individualized workshops, drawing on their work with nursing students, nurse leaders, veterans, and peer colleagues.
With backgrounds in journalism and nursing, they bring an interdisciplinary approach to listening for a group’s needs, building a flexible framework around those needs, and inviting participants to help shape the workshop. Different populations, different outcomes—yet three things hold constant: connection, self-reflection, and a shift in perspective.
Through concrete case, they’ll show perspective-shifting takes shape differently across different populations—and how storytelling, the body, and the environment can shift together depending on who’s in the room.
