VOLVOX: Making Narrative Medicine Happen Alumni Speaker Series

A Primer for Beginners: Publishing a Guidebook for Healthcare Users

Speaker: Eve Makoff, MD, MA, MS, CPA'23 with Anjali Dhurandhar, MD

This fall brings the debut of a guidebook to basic narrative medicine principles, with exercises on themes relevant to healthcare professionals. The themed chapters are designed for use in small groups or individual reflection.

Eve Makoff and Anjali Dhurandhar, two of the book's editors, will guide us through the tenets, origins, and applications of the book, as well as the process to have the volume published.  We will also discuss the concept of expanding access to narrative medicine while attempting to ensure the practice stays true to its roots.

Guest Host: Tony Errichetti, PhD, MA, CPA'21
