Gregg Fisher

Advisor; Founder and Portfolio Manager, Quent Capital

Gregg is a recognized pioneer in the field of investment science, with over 30 years of expertise in investment and portfolio management. Gregg is highly regarded for his innovations in using data analysis and systematic strategies to inform investing decisions. In 1993, he founded the investment advisory firm Gerstein Fisher, where he first developed and deployed his multi-factor investing strategy based on academic and proprietary research. He grew Gerstein Fisher to a $4 billion dollar investment firm before selling it to a major public bank. After the sale, Gregg continued to advise the firm and expand the investment division as the Head of Research and Portfolio Strategy, while remaining Portfolio Manager of the Systematic Global Strategies and Funds until his resignation at the end of 2019.

In 2020, Gregg launched the Quent Long Short Global Small Cap Fund in order to apply his multi-decade investment experience to a more versatile investment structure. At Quent, Gregg once again blends a background in quantitative analysis and research, his investing track record and his entrepreneurial knowledge to invest in small cap stocks globally.

Gregg skillfully bridges the investing and research communities through active engagement with an international network of highly respected academicians, financial support of multi-disciplinary research centers and ongoing proprietary research. He founded the Gerstein Fisher Research Center in 2009, bringing together leading academics in the areas of finance, risk management, and economics to apply theoretical research concepts to real-world challenges facing individual investors.

Gregg is on the program committee of the Q Group, a 50-year old organization promoting excellence in financial research and cutting-edge applications. Gregg has served as a guest lecturer for the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, New York University, Columbia, McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, Cornell Business School, and Harvard University.
