Yousuff Ahmad

Dr. Yousuff J. Ahmad proudly serves as the President & CEO of AssureCare®, the country’s leading care management and population health management company. He is also the Managing Director of AssureHealth™, a healthcare investment firm, with a portfolio of innovative care delivery companies. He brings over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience encompassing health insurance, physician group practice, and multi-hospital health system experience.

Prior to this role, Dr. Ahmad was the President & CEO of Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he led a $2 billion integrated healthcare delivery system including hospitals, physician practices, long-term care, foundation, and home health with a total of over 150 locations of care. He is credited for uniquely leading the merger of The Jewish Hospital into the Mercy Health system (an unprecedented merger of two disparate religious congregations). Under his leadership Mercy Health was named a Truven “Top 15” health system two years in a row.  Mercy Health also improved from last position to first in market share. Dr. Ahmad also led Mercy Health in preparing for healthcare reform initiatives, including the development and execution of the region’s first and only Accountable Care Organization (ACO) working directly with the Obama Administration, the advancement of its Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) project, and Population Health Management. He was named one of "Becker’s best health system CEOs to know in the country” multiple times. 

Dr. Ahmad has served on Boards of an endless list of not-for-profit organizations ranging from The United Way to The American Heart Association to Cincinnati Preschool Promise: all causes he continues to believe in and support. He has also taught in the graduate schools of Xavier University, Miami University, University of Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky University.  

Dr. Ahmad is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), an active member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), and American Public Health Association (APHA).

Dr. Ahmad is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from University of Kentucky, a Master's of Health Administration from Xavier University, and an MBA from Eastern Kentucky University.
