Rose Sall

Student, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution

Rose Sall is a first-generation-born Senegalese American Muslim woman who is passionate about fostering a pluralistic society. She graduated from Queens University of Charlotte (QUOC) in May 2022 with a B.A. in Human Services Studies. Currently, Rose is a first-year Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (NECR) Master's student. At the start of her journey in the NECR program she was a Program Coordinator at a national nonprofit, GreenLight Fund and also served as the Treasurer of the student group Association for Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (ANCoRS).

Throughout her journey as an interfaith leader, Rose has tirelessly worked to identify, analyze, communicate, and develop initiatives that bridge religious and spiritual differences. Notably, her roles as a Building Interfaith Leadership Initiative (BILI) Fellow, QUOC Davies Fellow, and Interfaith American Ambassador have fueled her passion and motivation to cultivate pluralistic environments within systemic institutions. Moving forward, Rose aims to leverage her experiences alongside her accumulated knowledge from the NECR Master's program to spearhead innovative initiatives integrating religious and spiritual understanding into systemic institutions.

Rose recently became a CMMI fellow. Her project, titled "The Spirits in Me," delves into the impact of religious and spiritual generational trauma on individuals' perceptions of building a pluralistic society. Through educational animated videos and a reflective journal guide, her project aims to illuminate historical religious conflicts' influence on present-day spiritual expressions. Targeting adolescents and young adults, Rose utilizes social media to foster dialogue and understanding across diverse perspectives. Her project seeks to make spiritual storytelling more accessible, contributing to a more inclusive society.
