Justin Hon is a seasoned risk management professional with years of experience in multiple financial institutions. His roles focus on risk analytics, reporting and controls related to regulatory requirements. He is currently managing a CCAR risk production team at Barclays.
Prior to joining Barclays, Justin was a team lead at Morgan Stanley managing a market risk control team responsible for Value-at-Risk (VaR) Backtesting and other regulatory initiatives. At Bank of America, Justin managed a Quant team focusing on Risk-Not-in-VaR (RNiV) implementation and reporting; furthermore, he was a regulators’ liaison to conduct the firm’s market risk model assessments.
In addition to his graduate studies, Justin also has graduate certificates from Boston University and New York University specializing in Financial Markets and Financial Risk Management. He enjoys coding and wrote an Android app which served to help differently abled students with learning. Justin currently serves as a Steering Committee Member of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA).
