Keach Hagey is a media reporter at the Wall Street Journal, chronicling figures like Sumner and Shari Redstone, Shane Smith, Nancy Dubuc, Jeff Bewkes, Rupert Murdoch, Chase Carey, Katie Couric, Arianna Huffington, Abbe Raven, Paula Deen and Jeff Zucker. She was part of the team that won a 2016 "Best in Business" award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers for their coverage of the power struggle inside Viacom.
Before joining the Journal, she covered media for Politico, The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi, CBSNews.com and the Village Voice. Her first newspaper job was at the Queens Chronicle, where she was sent out to cover a murder within five minutes of arriving in the office her first day.
She grew up in Evansville, Indiana and has an MA in English Literature and BA in English and French from Stanford University. She lives in Irvington, New York with her husband, daughters and dog.
