Wesley Jeffreys is a community justice advocate and graduate of Project Restore. He works as a Transformational Coach with We Build the Block, a grassroots organization advancing community safety and justice. Wesley also works as a facilitator across several programs at the Center for Justice at Columbia University, where he draws on both his lived experience and leadership to guide and inspire others from marginalized communities.
During Project Restore, Wesley became a founding member of a Public Safety Working Group, a coalition of leaders from rival crews working together to sustain peace locally and contribute to citywide discussions on redirecting young people away from “street life” and gun violence toward positive futures. He is pursuing studies in Business and Psychology at Kingsborough Community College and aspires to continue his education at Columbia University. Wesley hopes one day to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless efforts to create safer and more just communities.
