Violet Diamant

Violet Diamant is a structured finance professional and attorney who has held credit risk and business development roles with banking institutions, credit rating agencies, and a financial guarantor. Her most recent role was Managing Director at Morningstar Credit Ratings where she joined in April 2014 to launch the Asset-Backed Securities business. Prior to this role, she served as a Director and credit risk officer at Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Banking for five years. Earlier, Diamant held the role of Director at CIFG where she underwrote consumer and commercial Asset-Backed Securities transactions. Before that, Diamant served in key structured finance roles at WestLB AG and Standard & Poor’s Global.
Among her professional interests, is teaching strategic communications for risk professionals and preparing the next generation of professionals in the ERM field. She is dedicated to mentoring new entrants into the corporate world and infusing classroom teaching with real-life experiences.
Diamant is a member of the New York State Bar and resides in New York City with her two children.
