Vicente Curi

Vicente Curi is a graduate of the M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (NECR) program at Columbia University and a founding partner at Raio Capital, a venture capital firm focused on investing in resilient startups serving perennial markets in Brazil. He combines his academic expertise in conflict resolution with his professional experience in venture capital to support founders, strengthen partnerships, and guide strategic decision-making in high-stakes environments.
At Raio Capital, Vicente leads investment negotiations, strategic planning, and founder coaching initiatives. He has interviewed over 600 early-stage entrepreneurs and supported multiple startups across sectors such as edtech, healthtech, and fintech. He also launched the firm’s flagship founder development track, built on conflict resolution theory and behavioral science. Prior to founding Raio, Vicente worked as a business consultant and was a partner in multiple ventures, gaining hands-on experience navigating team dynamics and crisis situations.
As founder of Columbia’s Venture Capital & Entrepreneurship group (VECE), Vicente built a vibrant community of over 150 graduate students from across Columbia’s schools, fostering cross-disciplinary conversations on innovation, fundraising, and leadership. He also speaks regularly on strategic negotiation and conflict management in startup ecosystems in Brazil.
Fluent in Portuguese, English, and French, Vicente is passionate about bridging academic knowledge with real-world impact. His long-term goal is to empower leaders to resolve crises and build alliances using conflict resolution frameworks.
