Treven Treece

Alumni, NECR '25

Treven Treece currently serves as a full-time United States (U.S.) Army officer within the Department of War (DoW) and has been associated with the U.S. Army since 2013. He enlisted in the Tennessee Army National Guard during his undergraduate studies at the University of Memphis (U of M). He then earned a commission into the active component of the U.S. Army in 2017 through the U of M Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program. Since his commission, Treven has served various tactical, operational, and strategic leadership roles. Most of his active-duty experiences have supported Army and Joint missions throughout the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Upon graduating from Columbia University's Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (NECR) program in Fall 2025, Treven is an instructor at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. He deeply desires to inspire the next generation of U.S. Army officers at West Point! Treven's research interests reside in an amalgamation of interconnected areas, including international relations, diplomacy, hostage affairs, behavioral psychology, defense & strategic studies, and cyber & space policies. Following his tour at West Point, he aspires to serve within Joint, Interagency, and Special Operations communities. Treven is humbled and grateful to be a part of the NECR program and network!
