Tom Williams
Former Head of OCIO Investments, Morgan Stanley
Tom has over 25 years of experience managing global portfolios and investment businesses. He has held Chief Investment Officer / Head of Investment roles at Morgan Stanley, Man Group, and Pine Grove Asset Management. He oversaw the investments and business at Morgan Stanley’s Outsourced Chief Investment Office, holding ultimate responsibility for $56 billion in multi-manager, multi-asset, endowment-style discretionary portfolios across ~300 institutional and family office clients. He also executed an MBO at Pine Grove (an award-winning multi-strategy fund of hedge funds) and then successfully exited that investment by selling the firm to Man Group, headquartered in London. Tom has taught at Columbia University and Seton Hall University and currently manages a family office, BlueGreen Capital Management, LLC. Tom started his career as an attorney focused on corporate and intellectual property law, representing start-ups and larger tech companies. Tom has a JD from University of Southern California, a BA in Economics from Trinity College, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
