Tom Cerny

Lecturer; Brand Manager, Digital Gaming Corporation

Professor Cerny is the Brand Manager for Digital Gaming Corporation overseeing two iGaming brands. He leads the customer-facing initiatives including brand strategy, advertising and promotions, and digital marketing for both brands.

Prior to joining DGC in May 2024, Tom previously worked for Activision Blizzard overseeing marketing, fan communications and overall brand strategy for the Call of Duty esports products.

From 2018–2022, Tom served as Associate Director for the Columbia University Sports Management Program. In his role, he supported all classroom activities, event operations, and administrative duties. Tom also served as Course Associate for Sports Marketing.

Tom’s professional background includes experience in marketing, communications, and branding for the New York Jets and Hilton Hotels and Resorts. With over ten years of experience creating a brand presence in media markets locally, nationally, and globally, Tom oversaw campaigns for ticket initiatives, upscale events, and hotel grand openings in Florida, Louisiana, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tom spends his personal time with his wife and two children on Long Island. He enjoys reading, listening to leadership, political & historical podcasts, and following trends in sports business. He has since retired from the game of lacrosse.
