Simran Saluja

Enterprise Risk Management Program Representative, SPS Student Government

Hi, I am Simran Saluja. I will be serving as the Enterprise Risk Management Student Representative. From Indore, India, I moved to NYC for my master's. I came to the U.S. to studyin an Ivy League to expose myself to like-minded, established intellectuals and professionalsfrom all over the world. I hope to keep on doing that and make the best of it. I like to explore coffee shops and play sports and learn Bhangra (cultural dance form). A fun fact about me is I get cranky if I don’t workout, so you can always find me at the gym to refresh myself and find my inner peace. Ever since my school days I had been in student leader positions. So, I am glad that I got this opportunity here at SPS. The Columbia Lions community is totally new to many of us, so my aim is to know, understand and be a useful resource to my fellow mates in this journey. Also making a few connections who can always come together for fun and in need anytime. And the timing of this opportunity- of a student rep really came at a perfect timing. In the second semester we are somewhat familiar and still know each other more. It makes me more than happy when people walk up to me - share their experiences as ERM students and what all we can to become stronger as an ERM community.
