Shelley Podolny
Associate, Technology Management; Independent Consultant
Shelley Podolny (aka Sharlyn) is a writer and Independent Consultant in the field of electronic information management, primarily in the context of legal matters. Until its recent acquisition, she served as Director of Strategic Content Development and Director of Information Management Consulting at H5, where she focused on strategic search and consulting services for information governance, records management and litigation readiness initiatives for H5’s enterprise clients.
Before joining H5 in 2009, Ms. Podolny was a consultant to Altria Corporate Services, where she project-managed a multi-faceted records retention initiative. Prior to that, she was a business systems analyst, project manager, and programmer for Bear Stearns, Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Bank, where she gained a strong technical background to bring to the evolving world of electronic records. She also has training in interface and information design and developed online help systems for proprietary software as a project manager at Marsh, Inc.
Ms. Podolny has a B.A., cum laude, from the University of California at Berkeley and is a graduate of the New York University Data Processing and Systems Analysis Institute. She also attended New York University's Master of Professional Studies Program in Interactive Telecommunications. Ms. Podolny has authored two Op-Ed pieces for the New York Times and has written and co-authored several articles for various legal publications.
