Dr. Sarah Benis Scheier-Dolberg trains and coaches executives in the education, health, and technology industries. Her work focuses on providing professional learning in the areas of: cultivating leaders and teams; equity and cultural diversity; innovation, technology, and learning; and emotional intelligence, trauma, and restorative practices. Sarah’s research interests focus on change management in urban contexts, strategic leadership practices, and organizational learning. She currently serves as President of Arete Education, Inc., an innovative, mission-driven non-profit organization that trains and empowers students in New York. In that executive role, Sarah engineered the transformation of her organization during the pandemic from an afterschool program provider to a grassroots humanitarian aid organization and career incubator for Latinx and Black youth in the South Bronx.

Sarah is formally trained as an educator and has designed and taught leadership courses at Columbia University on Leadership and Decision-Making, Strategic Agility, Strategic Advocacy, and Executive Presence. In her time at Columbia University, she has collaborated with the Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning, designing and deploying an application that uses case studies and simulations to engage participants in decision-making scenarios based on real events. She brings these experiences into teaching her Executive Presence Now course, pushing students to develop executive decision-making skills within the context of navigating issues of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging.
