Sam was born Feb. 21, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She went viral at the age of nine when a video of her playing football received more than five million views in three days. Sam has been featured on several media outlets and television shows, including Conan, SportsCenter, Good Morning America, Inside Edition, ESPN Sports Nation, Monday Night Football, Outside the Lines and NFL Network. She was featured in an NFL 100 Super Bowl commercial. Sam was the first female to receive an Honor at the 2018 NFL Honors Awards. She co-wrote Sweet Feet: Sam Gordon's Winning Season.
