Rogerio Simoes is an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he serves as Global Head of Learning Design & Head of LatAm and Canada Learning & Digital Experience. He builds and facilitates high-impact training that strengthens client-facing conversations — sharpening discovery, clarifying value, and building confidence in high-stakes moments. Previously, he served as Head of Learning & Performance for RBC Capital Markets (U.S.), where he led U.S. learning operations and built programs that strengthened sales and product capability, leadership effectiveness, and performance development for audiences ranging from early-career bankers to senior executives.
His path into human capital has been deliberately unconventional, and he treats that as an advantage in the classroom. Rogerio has served as Chief of Staff to Prince Bandar AlSaud, led talent initiatives at Columbia Business School in partnership with Microsoft, Apple, McKinsey & Company, and BCG, and worked as a television producer on major shows — experience that translates directly into storytelling, presence, and persuasive communication. Across all of it, the through-line has been the same: translating behavioral science into practical tools that change how people perform when the stakes are real.
In the classroom, Rogerio pushes students to move from frameworks to fluency. He believes a learning strategy is only as good as the behavior it changes, so he asks students to test ideas against their own organizations, defend their reasoning out loud, and design solutions someone could actually implement on Monday morning. He brings to the M.S. in Human Capital Management both current research and years spent building learning functions inside global financial institutions — and a conviction that the two belong in the same conversation.
Rogerio holds an M.S. in Human Capital Management and a B.A. in Film and Media Studies, both from Columbia University — a combination that still shapes how he approaches development work: rigorous about evidence, serious about narrative.
