Richard Feiner
Lecturer; Director, Foundations and Corporate Relations, Weill Cornell
Richard Feiner has more than twenty years of development and fundraising experience in disciplines ranging from medical research and community health to environmental protection and historic preservation. He currently is Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Weill Cornell Medicine, where he works with philanthropic donors and social impact investors to advance biomedical research, to support direct health service initiatives, and to catalyze health technology entrepreneurship.
Prior to WCM, Richard was the Director of Development, North America for the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), an international NGO co-founded by Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) that is dedicated to increasing access to and developing new and improved treatments for some of the world’s most neglected diseases. He managed an international team responsible for public/private partnerships with, (among others), the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Wellcome Trust, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation.
Prior to his nonprofit career, Richard held positions in investor relations and business-to-business marketing and was an analyst at Morgan Stanley for the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP).
